Peter's Monday Blog - WOE Complex Expansion Update - New, Unique Super Thrill Ride coming to the Science & Discovery Section!
Good Day, my intelligent WOE Friends!
Today is Memorial Day, and many of you may be off of work because of it. While enjoying the beach, cook-out, or any other fun activity you may be doing, keep those who have given of their own lives to defend this country and all of the freedom we cherish in mind. I hope you have a safe and enjoyable day!
The WOE Short Story: Back to the Elevator in the Graveyard - Part 2 is now online! Click on the ad below to go directly there.
The WOE Short Story was revised yesterday. I had inadvertently placed another version that still had grammar errors within it. I have replaced the version and will be sure to re-check the entire story shortly. Apologies to those of you who may have found the errors to be annoying. I am still learning the craft of writing and know you will find mistakes in my blogs and short stories. Jennifer does help look over most of my work, as does Grammarly. But it's not professional. Thanks for bearing with me.
Family vaca - Jennifer, Sally, and I will be taking a family "road trip" vacation to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg within a few weeks. We will be exploring Dollywood, The Titanic, a few dinner shows and Ober Mountain. I will have plenty of photo's, reviews, and video to share when we get back. I just purchased a video camera and will be creating a few short videos (not vlogging) of the Smoke Mountains and other places we visit.
This week's WOE Expansion Update - New, Unique Super Thrill Ride!
I know most people think of roller coasters when I say super thrill ride. But this one is even better! Instead of being flipped upside down seven times and possibly feeling a little sick to your stomach at the end, this attraction/thrill ride will take you on a journey few ever get to experience.
You will be timed going down narrow, twisting, banked ice turns, at speeds up to 100 m.p.h., in a gravity-powered sled. Yes, you will be Bobsledding! You and three others will sit in an actual Bobsled and experience what Olympians experience. The thrill of actually descending downhill on a mountain, going into banked turns at high speed will be incredible.
The Alpine Bob sleighing Experience will be housed in the New Science & Discovery Section of the New Complex. It will focus on gravity, G-force, and how physics work on the body.
This super attraction will be the tallest yet and be entirely enclosed. It will resemble an actual mountain when going down.
But it gets even better: Once you reach the finish line and hear all the cheering, you'll see your time. Then, in traditional Olympian competition, you will be chair lifted to the top again and get to do it all over. Then your times will be combined, and the results put on your free team photo.
There will be four Bobsled courses running at the same time. Each one will be slightly different. When you reserve your next "race" in the future, the computer will choose a different track for you automatically.
Also, the computer will pick the shortest person to sit in the front and the tallest in the back. You can reserve rides together as a four-man team when making your reservation.
I promise this will be one of the most talked about thrill rides in the world when it opens next year!
