Peter's Finally Friday Blog - WOE Complex tour- Behind the Scenes of the Residents After-hours Party & More!
Hallo, My Favorite WOE Friends!
The 'Hallo' should be a 'hello' in German. But being that I can't speak more than one language, I hope Google was right. I do respect others who can speak more than one language. I know it's easy for us to knock someone who doesn't speak English as their primary language. But imagine how we would sound trying to speak their language?
Project update; I'm still not eating at least two hours before bed. I believe the scale will be good to me Saturday (hopefully!). I hope you were able to accomplish something good this week. If not, try harder next!
The WOE Short Story: Both Sides of The Party is nearing its riveting conclusion! Part 6. is now online! This story is an excellent read for anyone, particularity for parents and teens. You can find the story in WOE Short Stories or by clicking the ad below.
If you haven't read this week's WOE Cares Need to Know Topic: Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, do try to. There is also a video explaining more!
I have attached the latest HR Picture: Opinions.
Time for Friday's WOE Complex Tour: Behind the scenes of the Residents After-hours Party!
This week Sally, Jennifer, and I attended a Residents Employee Party at the Complex. The WOE hosts many different after-hours parties throughout the year. Many are for the WOE Guests and can last until 4:00 a.m. in the morning. A few can actually go all night; for New Year's Eve and Halloween.
Every two weeks, the entertainers who live on the property get to come to the Complex after hours and visit one of the five Sections. They can bring their whole family and ride the rides, attractions, watch movies, shows, eat at the restaurants, etc. These are always concealed from the Guests.
While the Guests may be enjoying Metamorphoses and Club Wheels in Fun Town USA, the entertainers could be in The Dark Room, Show Town, The Continents, or even the State Fair for up to four hours after the regular Complex hours have ended. The Guests staying in the Complex Hotel cannot see the entertainers in the State Fair, because the Systems Engineering group utilizes special effect lighting and sound to prevent them from being seen. To the Guests looking at the State Fair from their balcony, it seems like the State Fair is sleeping.
The entertainers love the after-hours events, and so do their families. The employee's love these after-hours events as well and have the same benefits. They offer onsite babysitting for any children under ten so mom and dad can play. The kids six through nine have all sorts of cool things they do around the Complex away from their parents and have a ball.
On certain nights of the year, the WOE puts together a Residents After-hours party that combines the Entertainers and the Employee Residents. These events are much bigger and last throughout the night, usually until around 6 a.m. when they serve breakfast. There is free food served around the Complex, entertainment, unique food and drink treats, and free alcohol (limited, of course).
What makes this event so special is everyone: The entertainers, WOE Management, and all the Residents get to intermingle, and have a blast!
The employee's who volunteer to work, do so for a three -hour shift, then get the rest of the time off. For doing that, they get one day off their regular work week to be used at another time. If they choose to work two shifts, then they get two days off.
On this event, they had every Section except The Continents open. Fun Town USA reopened at 1:00 a.m. after all the daily Guests were gone and the Section received its nightly cleaning. The entertainment featured Journey, with Steve Perry making a guest appearance, on the World Stage. The music and video was piped throughout the Complex.
The Employee Residents are prohibited from asking for autograph's or taking pictures with any of the Entertainers. As we are told beforehand, "Just enjoy yourself and take all the memory pictures you want. This is your home. You'll probably see them again soon!"
I love this place!
Thanks for Reading! I do hope you have a great weekend! Until next time,
